Passenger Experience portfolio was £250 million. There were multitude of projects under the programme including but not limited to Terminal Security Capacity Enhancements, Flight Connections Facility construction and Self-Boarding Gates Installation. All the projects were to be delivered under a operational environment. Terminal Security Capacity Enhancements project involved re-designing the transferring passenger route from the aircrafts. To increase the capacity an escalator had to be installed by breaking through three floors which inevitably resulted in reallocating facilities for various trades and offices. Flight Connections Capacity project was to build a new and bigger connections facility to accommodate the increasing passenger flow via Heathrow. This involves providing a Temporary connections facility and knocking down the existing facility and building a newer and bigger connection facility. Self-Boarding Gates project was to install boarding gates for the domestic passengers which allows the passengers to self-board the aircraft without needing an airline crew to check the tickets at the gates.
FTN / GSM-R South Project was a portfolio of projects accumulating to £400 million. The project involves; Renewing & refurbishing the entire Fixed Telecommunications Network (FTN). GSM-R provides entire rail network of south of the United Kingdom, with a digital, safe communication system, allowing drivers and signallers to communicate directly. Physical work of the project involves: Installation, jointing/ splicing, terminating and testing of up to 9,000 Kilometres of Copper and 11,000 Kilometres of Fibre Optic cable. Installation and commissioning of 3200 Transmission Nodes. Installation of Line Side Cabinets and REB’s.

The work involves installation and maintenance of a vast range of Highway Agency Assets including but not limited to Signalling, Gantry works, Electronic sign and CCTV installations.
Airbus A350XWB Galley Programme cost was estimated at $2 billion. The programme is to design, build and certify 800 ship sets of galleys for various airline customers. Prior to delivering customer aircrafts, there were 5 test aircrafts to be built to prove and certify the airworthiness. The design and the test houses are based in Leighton Buzzard whilst the production facility is based in Philippines.
Asset Management portfolio was £100 million. There were multitude of projects under the programme including but not limited to HVAC Replacements, Power Distribution, Life Safety Systems, Lighting Infrastructure Enhancement and Lifts and Passenger Conveyors refurbishments. All the projects were to be delivered under a working environment. HAVC Replacement project is to replace life expired plant on the roof. This involved installation & Commission of Temporary plant, decommission & strip out the existing plant and Installation & Commission of new permanent plant. Power distribution project is to replace life expired LV panels. Like the HVAC project, this involved installation & Commission of Temporary plant, decommission & strip out the existing plant and Installation & Commission of new permanent plant. Life Safety System project is to install a completely new fire alarm system in the terminal. This involved installing the new fire alarm panels and miles cables all over the terminal and migrating the old systems onto the new system. Lighting Infrastructure project was like the life safety system project in terms of the methodology.
Power Supply Enhancement / Electrification is a critical and reputational project at £300 million The project is to enhance the power supply on the network to enable a new fleet of power hungry rolling stock to run in Wessex, Sussex and Kent region. The project involves identifying appropriate locations and building 50 substations which were to be connected by several miles of feeder cables.
